In the event of a needed evacuation due to an incident at the Fermi Nuclear Power Station, students will be bused to Bedford High School, located at 8285 Jackman Road, Temperance, Michigan 48182. Monroe Public Schools and the Monroe County Office for Emergency Management with the assistance of the Michigan State Police have developed a plan for this orderly evacuation. Each school in the district has an individual plan. Parents should check with the building principals if they have questions regarding this plan. The major objective of the plan is to remove all students in schools located closer than 10 miles from the power station as safely and efficiently as possible.  Members of our community can review the entire Emergency Management Plan at the Monroe County Library.
