IMMUNIZATIONS
Michigan laws state that all children in Michigan schools shall be immunized or protected against diseases specified by the Director of Public Health. Immunizations are required for DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus), polio, measles, rubella, mumps, Hepatitis B, meningococcal and chicken pox. In case a child has not been immunized due to religious convictions or medical reasons, the parent must contact the school to apply for an exemption.
