Welcome to the Learning Bank! Congratulations on taking your first step on your journey to success! We are glad to assist you as you further your education and increase socio-economic opportunities for you and your family!

We want to share some quick facts that may help you stay motivated:

  • Graduates make more money! The Unemployment rate is twice as high for people that have less than a high school diploma versus those with a college degree. Earnings in 2009 were $454.00 per week for people with less than a high school diploma versus $1025 per week for college graduates.
    • This equates to better homes
    • Better Cars
    • Better Vacations
    • Better Health
  • Children of graduates make more money! Children of Parents that have attended post-secondary programs e.g. certificate programs, associate or four-year degree programs are twice as likely to attend college that parents that don’t.
  • Graduates are less likely to be on welfare and incarcerated. One half of parents on welfare have dropped out of school. Seventy – five percent of inmates have dropped out of school.

The Learning Bank also has many Community partners to help you reach your goals.
