STUDENT SUCCESS TIME (SST)

Check the pdf below for instructions on how to sign up for REMIND 101 for MMS SST.

Monroe Middle School offers an after-school tutoring program called   Student Success Time or SST. This program will be offered each week, Monday through Thursday from 2:50 to 4:15 p.m.  SST is open to all students for extra academic assistance and is free of charge.

SST serves two purposes for MMS:

  1. Students may voluntarily attend tutoring to receive extra academic assistance. Most of our tutoring students attend for this purpose.

  2. Teachers and staff may assign tutoring for missing assignments. This is an intervention that we use to ensure that students do not get too far behind in their academic coursework.

Parents are required to sign a permission form for their student to participate in the program and must provide transportation. Students should bring school assignments and materials to work on.

The failure of a student to report for an assigned tutoring period will result in the student being assigned an in-school suspension. If a situation occurs this prohibits a student from being able to report to an assigned tutoring session, it is expected that the student will notify the AP in advance so that the tutoring time can be rescheduled.
