The Transportation Department advises parent to estimate the distance from the pickup location and have the students at their assigned bus stop five to seven minutes before the bus arrives at the stop. Students that are in first grade and under are required to be accompanied by an authorized parent or guardian while waiting on the bus and being released at the end of the school day. If no parent or guardian is present the student may be returned to school for their safety.

Our objective is to safely transport all students to and from school. To do this bus drivers need to focus their full attention on the road to safely drive the bus. Parents and students can help with this by following the transportation PBIS expectations.

Please remind your student that the bus is just like being in the classroom. The bus staff is authorized to assign seats. Discipline will be issued safety rule violations and may result in a bus referral being issues and/or a bus suspension, depending on severity of violation and where the student is in the discipline process.
