Dear Families,
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Traci Wilson and I am your child’s 6th grade teacher. During my years at Monroe Public Schools; I have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 6th grade. I have taught three years at Custer Elementary and one year at Waterloo Elementary. Teaching is my passion and I believe that every child can succeed!
I attended Monroe Public Schools as a child; Custer Elementary was my elementary school. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor in Science degree and an Elementary Teaching Certificate. I recieved my Master's degree in Integrating Technology into the K-12 Classroom from Walden University.
I have a son named Breylon, who is in 1st grade this year at Custer Elementary. I understand the anxiety that goes along with sending your children to school every day and trusting in their teacher and school that they will be taken care of. I assure you that your children will be in good hands. I treat every student the way that I would want my son to be treated.
I have high expectations for my students. I expect them to always do the very best that they can. Homework will be written in planners on a daily basis.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me anytime. My number at school is 734-265-4319. Please understand that my phone will not ring during the school day and voice messages are typically not listened to until after school. If you have an emergency, please contact the office at 734-265-4300. You can reach me via email throughout the school day, wilsont@monroe.k12.mi.us. I will respond to emails as soon as possible. AGAIN, IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY OR IMPORTANT MESSAGE PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE AT 734-265-5100 TO ENSURE THAT I RECEIVE IT ASAP.
I am excited about getting to know and teach your child. I know this will be a great 6th grade year!
