During presentations over the past several years Monroe Public Schools’ families, staff, and community members have seen a clear picture of the school district’s budget and the significant effect it has had on our ability to sustain the quality education our community has come to expect.  In preparation for 2010/11 a district budget review committee held discussions on many areas of the budget.  The committee provided recommendations to the Board of Education in May of this year.  Subsequently the Board did approve the first phase of an extensive reorganizational plan which will save the District approximately $3.1 million.
