Rossi, Pollzzie honored by school board

Two coaches with a combined 65 years of coaching experience for Monroe Public Schools were honored by the Monroe Public Schools Board of Education at its meeting Tuesday (July 10) night. Both Vince Rossi and Tony Pollzzie are retiring from coaching. Rossi, who coached Monroe girl’s softball for 32 years, leaves after leading the Trojans to 807 victories in his career. Pollzzie, who has been the head coach for Monroe Middle School football, has been coaching football and other sports for some 33 years. Rossi retired as a teacher in 2001 but Pollzzie will continue teaching at MMS.
