The current version of the GED test will expire at the end of 2013. That version, known as the 2002 Series GED test, will be replaced with the new 2014 GED test on January 2, 2014. Individuals who have taken the 2002 Series GED test but have not passed all five parts have until the end of 2013 to pass all parts of the exam. If they do not pass, they will need to start over in 2014 with the new test in order to obtain their GED certificate. The new 2014 GED test will cover four content areas: reasoning through language arts, mathematical reasoning, science, and social studies. All tests will be entirely computer-based. While the new test will be administered via computer, test-takers will still be required to visit an official testing center to take the test. Saturday GED Testing Available!
