Online Learning Opportunities at MHS
Are you interested in taking an online course? Beginning in the 2011-12 school year, Monroe High School will be starting a new pilot opportunity for students who would like to take courses online toward their graduation requirements. An online class would take the place of one of your courses during the normal school day (similar to the way dual enrollment works). The online courses offered at MHS will be run through the University of Nebraska which is the same vendor that Monroe Virtual High School uses. Students can take up to two online courses each trimester. What does it take to become an online learner at MHS? It is important for students and parents to understand: Online courses are very challenging and time intensive. Students should expect to spend more time on these courses than on their regular face-to-face classes. If you think this is for you, check out our link to the course offerings that are available. Registration is taking place until May 20th. Sign-Up Now!
