Online Studies Agreement

Monroe Public Schools in cooperation with the Michigan Virtual High School is providing students with an opportunity to extend their learning through the Online Studies Program. Qualifying students may earn up to one high school credit per academic year by successfully completing online Advanced Placement courses, standard semester courses, and Flex-90 courses.   Students’ final grades will be based on the following scale: 100-90% A; 89-80% B; 79-70% C; 69-60% D; 59% and below E.  Classes will be recorded on their transcripts and grades calculated with the cumulative GPA. 

All students must fulfill the following prerequisites: 

  1. Students must meet with their counselor to determine what credits are needed to meet graduation requirements.

 

  1. Students must successfully complete the Monroe High School Introduction to Online Studies Program.

 

  1. Students must have access to a computer outside of school that meets minimum requirements, has internet access and email capability. (see Information Packet)

 

  1. Students must abide by all Monroe Public School Technology User Agreement Policies and Academic Codes of Honesty. (see Information Packet)

 

  1. Students must abide by all Michigan Virtual High School policies regarding the completion of coursework and communication with instructors.
